As we ease into Fall…Scripting Aloud’s next online reading event on Monday, Nov 2 in partnership with the 17th Annual Downtown Eastside Heart of the City Festival, reads Act One (42 p) of FALLING IN TIME (stage play, drama) by C.E. Gatchalian. Event includes a post-reading Q&A/talkback with the playwright.

READER PRE-CALL: 5:30 pm
READING: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (includes 5 minute break and post-reading Q&A)

— Performers will be pre-cast from the registration/sign-up list.

It’s beginning to look a lot like…the last reading of the year PLUS a Holiday Social! Hilarity ensues at our staged reading Monday, December 16 of NETWERQ [Ep. 1-4. 9, 13], an original web series (comedy) written by Alesandria Mentari, story by Alesandria Mentari and Alison ChangFestivities follow, at our annual Holiday Social right after the reading at Juniper (a block away from reading venue), with comp appies and door prize(s)!

Just want to watch and listen? Audience always welcome – the writers need your feedback!

Local creators in attendance. Reader casting on the day from 5:30 pm (arrive early/on time!). Script reading from 6:15 pm.  $5 at the door, cash only (includes $2 Membership* good through the Sep 2019-May 2020 season + Holiday Social with comp appies/door prize entry).

Scripting Aloud! Monday, Sep 30: AGM + Tales of the Eastside Lantern

Scripting Aloud returns for its second season on a special (read: different) day and time: Monday, September 30, with an Annual General Meeting followed by a reading of TALES OF THE EASTSIDE LANTERN — an original one-act dramatic musical for the stage, script and lyrics by Shon Wong. How will this play out (pun intended)?

Local creator in attendance. Doors at 5:00 pm. AGM at 5:30 pm. Reader casting on the day from 6:00 pm. Script reading from 6:45 pm followed by Q&A.  $2 Membership* at the door, cash only (good through the 2019-2020 season).
