As a not-for-profit organization, Scripting Aloud collects personal member and attendee information in the course of supporting our mission and completing business transactions or partnered and sponsored events. We understand that your personal information and privacy is important to you. We make every effort to ensure that the information you share with us is recorded accurately, retained securely, and used only according to your wishes as you have communicated them to us.

COLLECTIng INFORMATION

Scripting Aloud collects personal information (such as full name, email address, mailing address, or phone number) only from Society members and event attendees, individuals who submit a script to us for consideration or perform at our events, who provide consent to receive correspondence from us, and who contact us through our website or at one of our monthly, partnered, or sponsored events.

Scripting Aloud uses any gathered personal information to support its mission; conduct business with members, event attendees, partner organizations or sponsors; communicate with members and event attendees; anticipate and respond to member, event attendee, and partner or sponsor needs; develop new programs; and meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Personal information will be used only for the purposes for which it was collected, or with the consent of the individual, or as required or allowed by applicable law.

Scripting Aloud does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any commercial businesses or other not-for-profit organizations.

Personal information is stored and deleted in a manner which provides security against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks. Only authorized Scripting Aloud board members and volunteer staff have access to this personal information. Consent for the collection, retention, and use of personal information is implicit when Society members, event attendees, individuals contacting us through our website or providing consent to receive correspondence from us, provide such information. Individuals have the right to provide only the personal information reasonably required to conduct their chosen transaction with Scripting Aloud.

Individuals may at any time limit or alter their consent for Scripting Aloud to collect, use, or retain personal information. Individuals may also review and correct their personal information at any time.
